Cultivating Inner Peace |
"Butterflies are nature's way of telling us that change is a good thing." --Jennifer L. Betts Greetings, friends! Welcome and thank you for accepting the call to join my first mailing list! Whether we are already connected through education, yoga or social media or we are completely new to one another, I am so excited that you are here! For those of you who don't know me, my name is Shavon McCown and I have been an educator for over 25 years. Having served individuals in various capacities (as a teacher and professional developer) in secondary schools and institutions of higher learning, it was only a matter of time before I combined my love of learning, teaching and being of service with my passion for yoga and mindfulness. That time is now! For educators (and many other humans) summer is a season of exploration and prioritizing our own personal restoration. As the "off" season draws closer to its end, it's important that we be mindful of what practices might help us maintain our peace of mind once it does. We may find, more often than not, that there isn't a lot that we can do to control the things that happen around us, we can find the space to decide what kind of impact it has inside of us…and what our response will be as a result. To aid you in that effort, I bring you my new newsletter "Shavon's Mindful Moments!" Thank you to those of you who pre-read it! In this month's issue(s), I will share my personal best practices for cultivating inner peace. Feel free to share your thoughts! Also, if you haven't already done so, connect with me on social media. You will find the links below!

Your friendly, neighborhood Inner Peace Cultivator! 💋 I know that it's been a while, but there's no time like the present to reconnect! The seasons model what it looks like to shed what no longer serves us, to take a pause in order to reset and regroup so that we are able to reemerge bigger, stronger and brighter as we BLOOM into our most...
